To better connect and service the educational supply business on a global basis providing a focal point for this highly diverse and fragmented industry sector.

Through the Edexus Foundation to help bring access to improved health and education facilities to disadvantaged children by supporting charities effectively delivering aid to those in need.

Background

Edexus was founded by Ernest Smart who has spent more than 30 years working in and around the global education market building a deep understanding of this diverse and constantly developing business sector with its varied product requirements, distribution channels and purchasing procedures.

Education is one of the "big 3" expenditures of all governments, along with health and defence, yet the supply side of the business seriously lacks a "trade press" or "trade exhibitions" outside the USA. Edexus has been set up to fill this gap using the internet as a means of providing constantly growing source of information to producers and distributors of education equipment and supplies in every part of the world.

Business Structure

The basic listing service for companies is FREE.

There are charges for additional advertising and promotional services and it is our expectation that around 30% of members will wish to take advantage of these.

25% of the revenue generated from the promotional services offered by Edexus will be donated through The Edexus Foundation to selected charities - this selection process is handled by Andrew Scadding, who has worked in the charity sector for over 20 years and is well-qualified to ensure that all funds are well-directed and spent so as to create maximum benefit.
